Inspired by our Scandinavian roots, the Nordic Rattan Collection is born from the ocean. The strongest ships that could weather rough seas, used the simple technique of connecting planks of timber, overlapped tightly and nailed together with precision. Using similar design elements, with recycled boat wood and an iron steel frame, this collection brings a history within each handcrafted and one of a kind piece. Nordic Rattan successfully fuses the sleek and minimalistic simplicity that Scandinavian furniture is most recognized for, with the textured pallet of renewed boat wood. Handwoven split rattan door fronts add a natural and unstructured look to each piece. Featuring TV stands and buffets, this range befits the dining area and living space.

This buffet offers clever storage versatility with its combination of generous drawers and fixed shelving behind its five doors. It is the ideal piece for the living or dining room, housing kitchen utensils, linens or other household musthaves. Hand made from solid reclaimed boatwood, featuring retro-inspired iron metal legs and framing, this piece is coated with a natural transparent finish to highlight its character. Handwoven split rattan door fronts add a natural and unstructured look to each piece.

As such the finish may appear slightly different depending on the natural characteristics of the underlying materials surface and orientation.
Feature 3 Materials: Embracing Natural Materials - We embrace the natural properties of the materials used. Each piece of wood is completely unique due to its grain, colour, and texture, and cannot be replicated. The finish will show the unique and natural textures of the underlying materials. To accommodate the natural shrinkage and expansion properties of the wood materials, small gaps at joints are left intentionally during assembly & finishing.
Feature 4 Individual Craftsmanship: Individual Craftsmanship - All of our products are hand finished by skilled craftsmen. This personal touch, combined with the natural characteristics of the materials used, creates a unique product that is truly one of a kind. Slight variations in finish are to be expected, and are not considered product defects.
Feature 5 Assembly: Minimal Assembly Required - This product ships mostly assembled. Complete assembly can be achieved within approximately 20 minutes with 2 people.
Feature 6 Colour: Natural Boat Wood Finish - A clear water-based matte finish that serves as a transparent protective coating to the wood, while revealing the natural color variations between each individual wood plank. The finished result subtly emphasizes the textures of the recycled boatwood.
Feature 7 Individual Product Features: Iron Hardware - The iron materials used in our furniture are hand-made and finished with a powder coating, preventing rust and oxidation under normal use. In some of our designs, you will find iron as the material of choice for the framing, hardware and legs.

How will I know when my order has shipped?

After you order, the item gets packed and prepped. Once it’s out the door, you’ll get a tracking number to see where your item is in transit.

How will it get to me?

Smaller items will come like any FedEx/UPS delivery that comes to your home or business.
Larger items will go on freight truck. They’ll call you to schedule a good date/time for you to receive the items.
Items will be delivered to your porch, garage, or first dry area, but not inside the building.
In home delivery is available in some locations for an additional fee. Contact us for additional details about in home delivery options.

Why does it take so long to get to me?

To bring the best possible service and make sure items are delivered without damages or blemishes, we have delivery partners that do nothing but deliver furniture. Does this make things a little slower? Yes. But we’d rather you have your items in perfect condition but a little slower, than damaged or blemished.
Many small parcel items will take the standard delivery time of 3-7 business days, depending on how close you are to the shipping warehouse.

How do I cancel?

As long as it’s not on the truck and ready to go, you can cancel it without any fees!
Once it’s on the truck it’ll be considered a return

How do I return an item?

Fill out the return form within two days of delivery and we’ll try to make the process as painless as possible.
We do not charge restocking fees for returned items, but shipping charges are deducted
Even though shipping is free, the costs associated with getting it to your location will be deducted
